LEVEL 4 = Kung Fu Cowboy PART 1 – American Zen ALBUM DOWNLOAD

$12.88

LEVEL 4 = Kung Fu Cowboy PART 1 is a rock opera story of Hiram Abif being murdered in King Solomon’s Temple before it was completed.  Hiram Abif was the architect of the temple and the story of his murder is an important part of graduation of 2nd Degree Fellowcraft Masons into 3rd Degree Master Masons.  The CD inner sleeve finally reveals that The Hippy Coyote has been acting out the roles of the 4-member blues rock/folk rock band American Zen since 1991.

LEVEL 4 = Kung Fu Cowboy has 36 songs but a CD in 2010 could only hold 18 of them. So the American Zen album was split into Kung Fu Cowboy PART 1, and Kung Fu Cowboy PART 2.

“You’re Lazy”

Richard Del Connor “The Hippy Coyote” was also an active Freemason from 2007 to 2015. He hardly missed a single weekly Mason meeting during those years and served as the “Organist” of his lodge as did Wolfgang Mozart in his day. Coyote would play his flute and acoustic guitar during the weekly meetings because the organ was broken. This led to him writing several flute songs and the Spanish Classical song, “Flintridge Fire,” inspired by his being enrolled in Panamericana 513, a special lodge composed of immigrants from several Latin American countries who did not speak English.Being a California Freemason also inspired Coyote to rewrite the heartbreak and romantic songs of this album into the story of Hiram Abif, a significant individual in modern Freemasonry and also the architect of the original Temple of King Solomon. Accordingly, the full title of this American Zen album is: LEVEL 4 = Kung Fu Cowboy PART 1: King Solomon’s Temple. So several songs of this album are actually about Freemasonry including the song, “Hiram Abif,” which includes background sounds of groaning Hebrews slaving away 2,400 years ago building King Solomon’s Temple.

“Horses And Harleys”

Coyote learned all the ancient Hebrew legends including the story of Hiram Abif being murdered by three Fellowcraft Masons in the almost completed Temple in Jerusalem.

“My Life Belongs To Me”

Coyote also includes another “BASS POEM” love song in his bass poetry style invented on LEVEL 3 = I Want You To Love Me. This may be the nastiest song he ever recorded, well… maybe not… but it is nasty and sexy and romantic as he appeals to his remote lover in Utah to wait for him, titled: “Dear Lara.”
